Rotunda Project

All of the projects in the rotunda were very interesting to learn about and were artistic and informative. One that caught my eye was the domestic abuse project done by Liv, Gerlando, Pat, and Alex. The first thing that made me look at it closely was the artwork that accompanied the data. It was beautiful and tragic but still didn't make abuse look pretty, it just made you more aware of it. The facts were overwhelming and disheartening. I knew the basics of it but had no idea of the extent and severity of this issue. It is a bigger problem than we realize and is happening to more families behind closed doors than we think. I believe that we should make it more of an open issue and make it easier for people with this problem in their home to come forward. There should be programs in schools advertised widely that aid girls and boys that are experiencing domestic abuse.
