In Greek
mythology Nike was a Greek goddess who symbolized victory. She could also be
known as the winged goddess of victory and could be found in battle or at a
peaceful competition. She was the daughter of Titan Pallas and the goddess Styx
and the sister of Kratos, Bia and Zelus.
When
Zues was looking for allies at the start of the Titan war, Styx, Nikes mother,
brought her and the rest of her children into the service of Zues. Nike was
chosen to be his charioteer, and all for were chosen to be sentinels standing
beside the throne of Zues.
