Domestic Violence
I really liked this person's project, especially the powerful messages displayed throughout all the pictures. Seeing all the statistics about domestic violence is really upsetting. There are so many sources that go out and help people with domestic violence. I really liked the site Violence UnSilenced, it gives a voice to survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and sexual assault and raises the public’s awareness and understanding. Violence UnSilenced is a resource site that has been fostered by a community of rape, domestic violence, childhood abuse survivors and personal bloggers. There are so many blogs, research and sources of how to help people that face domestic violence but so many stories go unheard. The violence is everywhere, but the stories are not.
Also I was reading through another blog of domestic violence and this one women trying to raise awareness of domestic violence she started a petition to wearing purple in October from the incident that occurred with Ray Rice in the NFL. She states she has problems with NFL because they believe that women who face domestic violence are ignorant. The NFL believes that "we" are ignorant enough to believe that they never saw the recent tape which shows The former Baltimore Raven, Ray Rice, knocking out his now wife in the elevator. People hide domestic violence right under the rug, domestic violence has to end and with the all the help people display today hopefully one day women won't have to be afraid to hide their stories.
