Changing Reality Blog Post #10

I decided I would dedicate this blog to the quote by Nikos Kazantzakis. He says "Since we cannot change reality, let us change the eyes which see reality." I think this quote is very inspirational in the sense that we can use this advice every day of our lives. We cannot change the inevitable or anything that is bound to happen. We can't escape into our fantasy world or go back in time and change things. The reality of it all is that we may not be happy about how things are going in our life right now. But you will be miserable if you think you're miserable. You can only be as happy as you allow yourself to be. So, if we look at things from a more positive perspective, we will live a more positive life. For instance, you might be having a really bad day at school or work and nothing seems to go your way. Maybe your car wouldn't start and you spilled your coffee and you were late and your boss yelled at you. But there are some people in the world that would kill to have an education or to be able to work. There are some people that are thirsty and don't have a lot to eat or drink. Some people don't even have a bicycle to transport them, let alone a car. If you think about how everything benefits you in the long run, your "reality" will suddenly seem a lot better.
