Quote Interpretion

I believe this quote means you need to get out of the cookie cutter society has set up for us in order to actually live your life.  For example my generation is expected to graduate high school continue to college and get a job.  But is that what we actually want to or is it just instilled in our head since we entered kindergarten and it's the only thing we know? Or are we just to scared to find out what happens if we don't go to college?  This quote made me look at my future differently.  I could have a future that doesn't involve a college education.  Are we all just going to college because we are told and expected to or do we all actually want to?  Nikos was trying to tell the reader to be independent do your own thing even if it's a little crazy, live a little.
