Three Police Officers Caught Doing Good

       The link above is to a video of three Kansas City police officers playing basketball with kids from a neighborhood they worked in. 11 year old Clark Woods is an aspiring NBA athlete who spends his free time playing basketball with the cops. A local caught one of their pick up games on camera and posted it on YouTube; the game quickly became an internet sensation. When the cops were interviewed about why they played with Clark and his friends they said that it was good for the kids to see not all cops were bad and that they could be trusted. Clark Woods plays with the police at least twice a week and plans to send them autographed basketballs when he becomes a famous player. 
      I chose to blog about this video because it shows three white cops spending their free time playing with black kids from a poor neighborhood that is known for its gang affiliations. So many people focus on the bad things that a few police officers do but no one focuses on the good. Not all cops are racist and not all cops exercise brutality. Those three cops are greatly influencing those kids' lives and keeping them out of gangs simply by playing a game with them. There is no racial, white cop vs black citizen, line shown here.
