In class we read the story The Old Man at the Bridge by Ernest Hemingway. He is one of my favorite writers. So I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes by him.
"Every man's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another."
"Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how jestify, is not a crime."
"There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter."
"But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated."
