Vaccine for Ebola

     In the South San Francisco , a company called Vaxart is reviving an experiential Ebola vaccine that was previously dropped. When Vaxart began developing this vaccine in 2012 , the mice being tested on showed signs of improvement. The experimental vaccine was dropped because "the disease at that point had spread too sporadically and in too small numbers to ensure a return on the high cost of investment".  However, now that Ebola has began to rise in numbers again, many company's such as Johnson& Johnson have invested 200 million dollars to find a vaccine. They believe they will have a million vaccine doses by 2015.

     However, if the orginal experiment was not abandoned due to "lack of profits" would we be in the situation we are in now? At least scientists are going into the right direction with putting more effort into finding a vaccine for Ebola
