This link leads to an article about the horrifying events two teenagers went through under the torment of ISIS. The two girls were attacked while on the run from ISIS in Syria and were abducted. Most of their families were killed and they both were raped, beaten and escaped from their captors. The first girl, Sara, is 17. Her mother was taken, her brother was killed, and her pregnant sister-in-law was sold into slavery. Sara was held in a camp and ISIS members forced her to convert to Islam under the threat of the execution of her family. Sara and another girl were sold to two men and they underwent tortures of all kinds. They later escaped and made it to a refugee camp. Sara had been held for a month. The second girl in the article was Leila, who was 19. Her entire family was executed in front of her and then her and her one year old son were taken to a camp and sold as well. She was then forced to convert to Islam. Leila also escaped one night and is staying in a camp like Sara's.
This article made me sad and angry; the girls recounting their terrifying experiences are about my age and it makes me sick. I don't know an answer to the problems with ISIS and Syria but all i know is that people like them can not exist in this world. There are so many more young women with stories like Sara's and Leila's and there shouldn't be. In my opinion everything possible should be done to stop ISIS because it is clear to me that they are a severe danger to every single man, woman and child in our society.
