The movie Fury written and directed by David Ayer portrayed the horrors of WWII very well. The movie was about a boy who had no training with tanks at all joins a group of battle harden men in a tank. The new boy is hazed constantly by the other guys in the tank. Within the allied camps the brutal yet accurate interoperation of the care of the wounded was shown. The dead were pilled in mass graves and the wounded were pilled and on tables waiting for assistance. The movie demonstrated horrors of total war when young german boys and girls are given weapons and uniforms and are forced to fight or they will be hung. The allies are no angels. They are told to shoot at the kids immediately. At one point the new recruit is told to kill an unarmed german soldier but refuses. He is threatened that either he shoots the man or he will be shot. The movie also shows the brutality of spoils of war. After taking control over a town the allied soldiers would begin to abuse the town and the people for their own amusement. One of the most memorable scene for me is when a allied soldier that was on fire decided to shoot himself to end the pain. The movie is very brutal but is an eye opener because it accurately displays the brutality of war in WWII and shows that heroes are often forgotten. I would suggest this movie to any class mate who wishes to have a better insight on the less glorified version of a war hero.
