American Peter Kassig Beheaded

We are not one hundred percent sure that this is Peter Kassig in the video caption, but the Islamic state militant group released a video Sunday that says that American aid worker, Peter Kassig, was beheaded in Syria. The White House said the intelligence community is working to determine weather the video is authentic.

Kassig was a 26 year old former United States Army Ranger from Indianapolis. He worked for charity groups in Lebanon and Syria and was captured in Syria my militants in October last year. During his captivity his family said that Kassig converted to Islam and changed his name to Abdul-Rahman which means "servant of the most merciful".

The video that was released is about 15 minutes long and contains about a dozen more people being beheaded. At the end of the video, a black-clad militant, with his face concealed stands before a severed that he claims is the head of Peter Kassig.In the video Kassig's executioner says "Here we are eagerly awaiting for the remainder of your crusading armies to arrive" addressing Obama and the West.The U.S. and coalition forces have been bombing Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq for weeks, but no ground troops are deployed.

The man who speaks in the video released Sunday talks in a similarly British- accented English. The Dailey mail reported that the British accented terrorist- dubbed "Jihadi John" by British media- alleged to be the executioner of two British and two American hostages,was wounded in coalition
 airstrike against Islamic state.

British Prime Minister was "horrified" by the apparent "cold blooded murder" of Kissag. If his death is confirmed, Kissag will be the third American, after journalist James Foley and Steven Sotloff, to be beheaded by the group. British Journalist John Cantile,43, remains an Islamic hostage. He last appeared in a video from the group at the end of last month.
