Helping the impoverished

Something we talked about last week was if we should help the impoverished people around us. Many thought that we shouldn't help them because all they will use the money for is drugs and alcohol and others thought that we need to help them to get them on their feet. I believe that everyone has the right live a decent and happy lifestyle under a roof with food and heating. It's just that some need more help than others. I think that we shouldn't just hand them money and tell them to buy food but we should give them what they need so they can't go but drugs and alcohol. We should give them food, get them cleaned up, and find them a job along with a new set of average clothing.

We complain that there are many poor people in our society and for some it annoys them or makes them nervous. We should be doing something about it then. Sometimes people hit rock bottom and they really don't know where to go from there or they don't have any family left. We shouldn't be looking down on them but help others in our community or even in our state.
