Ares: Greek god of war. He was known mostly for being the more brash, "manly" side of war. Ares, in several mythological tales, was known for making decisions based on feelings, as opposed to wisdom and logic. Ares was known for supporting the Trojans in the Trojan war, against the majority of the other gods and goddesses, causing controversy. Artistically, he is represented in several fashions due to a lack of a consistent physical description. Below is a photo of a statue of Ares. Depicted as a fairly young man, he is seen posing in a triumphant stance, typical for that of a god.
