Justice for Ferguson?

   Ferguson is all over social media. This is because many teens feel like Officer Wilson was not punished enough for shooting and killing 18 year old Michael Brown. One tweet compared the case to one of an old man getting arrested for feeding the homeless. All of those involved in this so called "crime" spent time in jail whereas Officer Wilson did not. Is this unfair? To answer that question, one must look into both cases and compare them.
   In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, there is estimated to be about 10,000 homeless people. Arnold Abott, a 90 year old man, was arrested for feeding the homeless with two pastors, Dwayne Black and Mark Sims. Abott, a retired jewelry salesman who won two Purple Hearts as an infantryman in the Second World War, now faces 60 days in jail and a $500 fine for breaking a new law aimed at "helping" homelessness. But, how can homelessness be tackled without citizens who are willing to help those in need? This man has fought for his country and has attempted to help those less fortunate; all he gets in return is a jail cell.
   Is it fair that this man is being put in jail for his benevolence, whereas Officer Wilson will face no jail time for killing an unarmed teenager? Where is the justice? This is a question you must answer for yourself.
